Summer schedule update!

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far! I would like to take this opportunity to update you on a couple of things that we have been working on and give you a quick update on our summer plans.

We have been busy with spring training and putting the final touches on summer camps. You are also viewing one of our most recent projects: PRO Goaltending’s new website!

There are many new features in regards to the site. One right off the hop is our Blog section. Our intention is to make communication more interactive with clients during the season, providing you with information on a wide variety of topics related to goaltending.

Our off-season schedule is full of great opportunities to see and speak with future stars. Stay tuned for updates from the following summer stops:

From June 6 – 10, I will be at the Canadian World Junior summer goaltending development camp in Calgary, Alberta.  There, I will be coaching with the best instructors from all over the world in search of the next two goalies who will represent Team Canada at the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championships in Ufa, Russia.

After the goaltender evaluation camp, I will be in Pittsburgh for the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. PRO Goaltending has two students that will likely go early in the draft; Malcolm Subban (Belleville Bulls) and Daniel Altshuller (Oshawa Generals). Malcolm and Daniel had great seasons with their respective clubs and both young men were able to take on the responsibilities of being a starting goalie in the Ontario Hockey League.

In July, PRO Goaltending will be holding our annual Development Camp in Oshawa, Ontario. Prospects will be in town for two weeks working with the company’s best instructors. We will also get a closer look at two young prospects, Ken Appleby and Jack Flinn, who are expected to lead the next wave of PRO Goaltending talent into the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Finally, PRO Goaltending will head overseas in August where I will be working with some of the best talent in Europe. The camp takes places in Copenhagen, Denmark and goalies have been selected from all over Russia, Sweden, Finland and Germany.

Thank you for checking out my blog entry. Eli and I looking forward to writing more. If you have any suggestions for topics that you would like to see covered, please to not hesitate to contact us!

Wishing you all a safe and happy summer,

Michael Lawrence.
